Mohammed Deif and Rafa’a Salameh Neutralized Last Shabbat
The IDF dropped two two thousand pound bombs at a terrorist gathering in Khan Yunis, killing Deif deputy and Rafa’a Salemh and 90 others. It was assumed that Mohammed Deif, Hamas’ number two and military leader was among the dead. At first Hamas denied his assassination, but as the week progressed, it became more apparent Deif has been killed.
IDF Rolls Across Gaza, Hamas Begins To Collapse
Following the liquidation of Mohammed Deif, the IDF continued to take more and more control over Gaza, with Hamas seemingly collapsing as its command structure begins to implode. Combat engineers continue to expand the Philadelphia corridor, giving the IDF complete control over the Egyptian border. Prime Minister Netanyahu has made it clear that Israel must remain in charge of the Philadelphia corridor as well as the Netzarim corridor in the future.
