OUR ANSWER TO THE “AL AQSA FLOOD” & to the anti Israel and ignorant ICJ** –  A new Jewish family into the old Jewish Quarter (Moslem Quarter) of the Old City Jerusalem.

The Azut Family (Liran and Miriam plus 6 children) have just moved into Beit Gita, inside the Old City near the Flowers Gate – Yerushalayim.

There are 9 buildings and now 24 Jewish families in close proximity to each other in the northern sector of the Old City near the Flowers gate.

Strengthening Jewish life in and around the Old City is the only answer to those in the world who dont understand and who don’t accept that the Jewish people are the indigenous people of this land and that we have the natural, moral, historical and legal right to purchase and live in every and any neighbourhood in Jerusalem….especially in the heart of the Jerusalem – the OLD CITY.

Historically- Although the public is familiar with the “‘4 Quarters” of the Old City, most readers are unaware that the Moslem Quarter of today (Approx 55% of Old City) was the main hub of Jewsh life and activity in the 19th Century (Jewish majority in mid 1800s with 21 Batei Knesset and 6 Yeshivot) until the Moslem Arab pogroms and riots in the 1920s & 1930s and due to the ineptitude of the British authorities who forcibly removed the Jews from neighbourhoods and who were not prepared to protect the Jewish residents of the Old City and the Shiloach.

The Old City – BEIT GITA event : The families of the general Flowers Gate community with tens of their children welcomed the new Azut family to the area with music, well wishes/brachot (Blessings) and of course plenty of “goodies” for all the kids.

The celebration was elevated with the presence of both Shani Hikind and Chaim Leibtag from American Friends of Ateret Cohanim.

A mezuza was of course affixed and words of encouragement, thanks and “redemption/Geulat Yerushalayim”, were spoken by both Rabbis and Ateret Cohanim representatives.

Daniel Luria (AC Israel) said that – “The addition of a family to the old Jewish Quarter at a time when the ICJ had the arrogance and audacity to call Jews living in Jerusalem as illegal, and at this time in the middle of an Al Aqsa War – is paramount and very symbolic”. “We are sending a very important message to ourselves and to the world – that we are the sole nation with sovereign rights in a united Jerusalem.”

Huge thanks and appreciation to those very special and generous donors from Israel and abroad who helped finance the renovations of the premises to add a Yeshiva family to Beit Gita and thus strengthen Jewish life in the area.

** Notes:

1/ The current president of the ICJ – Judge Nawaf Salam is from Lebanon, with past and maybe current ties with Hezbollah and is a rabid anti zionist and anti semite, previously speaking strongly against Israel.

The ICJ – International Council of Jokers/Jew haters is irrelevant, has nothing to do with truth or justice and is a disgrace, destined for the dustbin of history.

2/ Al Aqsa – the name of the mosque – actually refers to the Temple Mount and broadly relates to all of Al Quds – Jerusalem.
