Major Anti-Terror Action In Abu-Dis, Just Meters From Kidmat Tzion
Just 200 meters from Jerusalem’s Jewish neighborhood of Kidmat Tzion, a major anti-terror action took place over night. Security forces began to surround the building late at night in Abu Dis where the wanted Nabila Halavia was entrenched.
For many hours Halavia and other terrorists refused to turn themselves in. Israeli forces had to use a pressure cooker procedure and fired several missiles at the building.
After nearly 6 hours, the terrorist was eliminated.
In the clashes around the house, 2 more terrorists were killed and 6 more were injured, 3 of them in a serious condition.
The names of those killed: Nabil Halavia, Mohnad Ahmed Afana, Musa Dia Zaur Yamash.
Kidmat Tzion is a critical neighborhood on the border of Jerusalem and Abu Dis. Without Kidmat Tzion, Arabs would be able to connect Abu Dis and Jerusalem, allowing for the free flow of terrorists and terrorism into the capital.
Kidmat Tzion needs a boosting of security equipment – fast. The stronger the civilian led security is in Kidmat Tzion, the more protection the families will have. It will also be easier for Israel’s professional security services to carry out proactive measures in nearby terror centers in Abu Dis and other Arab populated area in Jerusalem.
