A few years ago, I was on a plane and sitting next to me was a girl from Alabama who had never met a Jew in her life. I of course had plenty to say as we flew from New York to Miami. While talking about the Oslo nightmare “so called peace accords”, I mentioned to her that in that same week over 70 missiles landed in regular cities down south.

She couldn’t fathom or comprehend what I was saying. She couldn’t even visualize ONE MISSILE landing in the town square of Alabama. And we all know the truth -no one can!!

Which normal sovereign country in the world would accept one missile landing in its city centre?What type of response would America take or Australia? In fact – we all saw the answer, when America had just one horrific and tragic day of attacks when the Manhattan Twin Towers came crashing down due to Moslem terror.

America and its allies took no hostages, but simply leveled tens of thousands of kilometers and “bombed the hell” out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Thats a reaction to terror!

Because Israel did not respond in the same fashion to the very FIRST missile-rocket that came from Gaza – we are today over 200,000 or more rockets later !!Today -we are “sitting ducks” in some fashion, Hamas do as they desire and when they desire and we have probably lost our famed deterrent.

I write these  words as we are faced with a “similar” situation in our neighborhoods of Jerusalem, where some hate-filled Arabs are “getting away” with throwing hundreds of molotov cocktails and barrages of rocks to our homes and families in Kfar HaShiloach.

Thank G-d, no one has been seriously injured over the years, but one of our mothers was hit in the chest while holding a baby. The rock missed the baby’s head by centimeters. Plus plenty of property damage.

Unacceptable!!

In the last fortnight – over 70 molotov cocktails have been thrown at the Yemenite Beit Knesset (Lamm Yemenite Heritage centre and Beit Knesset complex) and the adjacent home called Beit HaDvash.(Officially recorded – 8500 molotov cocktails over the last 10 years)

Unacceptable!!

Where are the Israeli Police and the Government authorities? What would the Police, the courts and the Government do, if Arabs attacked a Beit Knesset and homes in Rechavia? What would happen if some Jew threw “just one” molotov cocktail at a Jerusalem mosque? Can we all imagine the outcry? Where is the outcry with the current attacks?Where is the media?Where are the police?Where are the courts? Why are the authorities not dealing with this as they should, and as would happen in any country in the world? WHY? Something is amiss and rotten in our “dealings” with Arab terror in the eastern neighbourhoods of Jerusalem. No country in the world would accept such things happening in their capital city.

Many years ago – at the height of the First Intifada, the military and political response from Israel, to the many murderous inhumane attacks against Jews in Gush Katif/ Gaza and in Judea and Samaria was minimal. Only when the attacks “hit closer to home” – at the Tel Aviv Dolphinarium and then at a hotel in Netanya, did we see the Israeli Government truly respond. A shocking but sad reality. Does the Israeli Police/Shabak/Government  need to wait until someone is G-d forbid killed or seriously injured with one of these molotov cocktails before they seriously act with full force and conviction? Let’s not wait.

I don’t know who is specifically responsible (beyond the obvious blame on Arab terrorists and their supporters) for this situation. But serious decisions need to be made about “zero” tolerance – about not accepting one rock or molotov cocktail and about adding huge forces and police to properly return normality and safety to our Jewish families. The police are trying to an extent, but they don’t have the manpower or backing at all levels to get the job done. And this truth needs to be said and written. It’s crunch time.

I’ve had enough…our families in the Shiloach have had enough. NOT ONE ROCK IS ACCEPTABLE. NOT ONE MOLOTOV COCKTAIL IS ACCEPTABLE.

Arab terror must be stamped out altogether in our united capital city…zero tolerance !!!
