The atrocities on October 7th have crystalized the need to not only destroy Hamas and other “palestinian” entities supporting the destruction of Israel, but ensure that the entire Land of Israel remains in the hands of the Jewish people.

No more is this clear than our ancient and biblical capital of Jerusalem. Ever since 1967 when Israel liberated all of Jerusalem from its Arab occupiers, there has been an ongoing struggle to resettle our ancient capital.

During Chanukah we commemorate the victory of the Maccabees over the Greek occupiers who brought a foreign culture to our Land. When Antiochus demanded that the Maccabees cede territory to him, Shimon HaMaccabi responded: “We have not taken a foreign land; we do not hold the property of others. Rather, the land is our ancestral inheritance taken from us lawlessly. When G-d gave us the strength, we returned it to ourselves” (Maccabees 1 15:33–34).

This same spirit still guides us today.

Despite October 7th and the current war in the South and North, the world wants us to hand over our capital to Jihadists and Islamic Nazi organizations. Every house we dwell in, new family that moves in, and child that is born in Jerusalem, especially it’s the Eastern neighborhoods adds to Israel’s hold on its Land. This and only this ensures total victory and safety for all of Am Yisrael.
