The year 2022 is finishing off with great news for the Jewish People and Ateret Cohanim.

Without going into any details (והמבין יבין) – all that can be said is that two large properties in the Shiloach and specifically in the City of David are now firmly and formally in Jewish hands.

One of the large properties – the Shiloach Pool (Say 15% only exposed today at the southern end of the City of David) built by King Hezekiah around 2600 years ago in Temple times –  will, G-d willing, be FULLY EXCAVATED and once again revealed to the public.

The City of David Foundation in cooperation with the Israel Antiquities Authority will manage the monumental project, digging deep into “our” Jewish roots of the area. The area has already been fenced off, with signs of the impending project. Mazal Tov.

The other property in the City of David – and which is now back in Jewish hands, has been simply “taken and used” by Arab residents of the area for many years. 

The area will hopefully be used as a safe car park for the residents of Kfar Hateimanim (Shiloach and Ir David).
